FAQs
Do I have to pay to receive releases?
No β itβs always free. NewsReach is committed to supporting journalism by delivering timely, relevant news releases at no cost to verified media professionals. News releases older than 60 days are moved into an archive, and there is a nominal monthly fee to obtain archived releases.
Will my contact info be public?
Only if you opt in. By default, your contact information is private. You can choose to be listed in our Journalist Directory to allow trusted sources to reach out to you directly β but itβs completely optional.
What types of sources send press releases through NewsReach?
Our platform is used by government agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, public safety departments, and small businesses β all verified and mission-driven.
Can I search for older releases?
Yes. All releases are available at no cost for 60 days. For a small monthly free, you can have access to all releases, regardless of release date. We maintain a searchable archive so you can access past releases by date, organization, region, or topic.
How do I update my contact information or beat preferences?
You can log into your dashboard anytime to update your profile, change your email address, or select different beats and geographic regions.
Can I choose which topics I receive?
Yes β customize your preferences. During sign-up, you can select your beats (e.g., public safety, education, business) and regional focus areas. Weβll only send releases that match your interests.
Can I unsubscribe anytime?
Yes β with one click. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also manage your email preferences or pause notifications without fully unsubscribing.
Are the releases verified or fact-checked?
While NewsReach reviews submissions for format and quality, we do not fact-check the content. Each release includes contact information so you can verify details directly with the source.
Can I use quotes or statements directly from the releases?
Yes, unless otherwise noted. Most content is provided for immediate media use and includes quotes intended for publication.
Will I receive embargoed or exclusive releases?
Possibly β some agencies may choose to share embargoed information through NewsReach. You will be notified if an embargo applies, and you’re expected to honor it.
